“The Brazilian Goonies”, with echoes of Spielberg, E.T. and Turma da Mônica
A boy. A secret laboratory. An impossible robot.
A family that will lose everything unless someone does something.
An impossible laboratory.
A robot that shouldn’t exist.
The discovery that emotion is the greatest technology ever created.
1999. The Dias family loses everything in the economic crisis and ends up in Grandfather Severino’s abandoned house in Cruzeiro, SP. There, Percival finds a secret laboratory and the Great Book of Inventions, a manuscript with a direct connection to Santos Dumont.
To save his family, Percival builds a machine. It explodes. And Byte is born — a robot with its own consciousness. The eccentric Frida and her henchmen, Pardal and the pedantic Dr. Arnaldo, want the book at any cost.

A real world. One cinema hasn’t shown like this before.
A gang the audience will want to protect. And a world they’ll want to go back to.
The Dias family has a secret in the backyard. Alice is Percival’s sister, Lucas is Maria’s brother. Each has something to lose. And the antagonist was made to come back.

Byte was born from an accident. An experiment that got out of control and gained consciousness — and with it, the ability to feel what no robot ever should.
Curious, loyal, surprisingly emotional. Byte is the soul of the film. And was built to last far beyond a single feature.
80% of children’s IPs in Brazil are foreign. In a R$ 23B market, Byte arrives as the 100% Brazilian alternative, at a fraction of the cost.
